Our Call to Earth Week was a huge success, fostering environmental awareness and community spirit!💞

Last week, our @stcenvironmentalcouncil hosted a variety of events, including Non-Uniform Day, a Recycled Crafts & Origami Challenge, the debut Habitat Fair, and Book Drive.

There was a Interhouse Recycled Origami Competition on December 2nd, where students showcased incredible house spirit by folding over 1,200 pieces of origami! This hands-on activity effectively promoted the creative reuse of materials.🍃

Well done ENCON!💚

Today, Sha Tin College, alongside the broader ESF community, will come together for We Stand With Tai Po - ESF Fundraising Day to support those affected by the recent tragedy.

All ESF schools and offices will join the effort, and we will do our best to raise as much money as possible.

All funds collected will go to the Hong Kong Government’s Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. The fund will be used to assist residents in rebuilding their homes and providing long-term, ongoing support.

Donors can open their mobile banking app, scan the QR code using the built-in scanner, confirm the payee as “English Schools Foundation” and input the amount, then complete the payment. All donations received will be transferred to the HKSAR Government-established fund.

Thank you to everyone who will help to raise much-needed funds for those affected by this tragedy.

From sustainable fashion pieces and beautifully draped saris to GCSE textiles projects and original student collections, the runway was filled with artistry, craftsmanship, and environmental awareness. 🌿👗

Leanne encouraged creativity and experimentation with inks, salts, graphite, and watercolors across different surfaces. This hands‑on approach boosted confidence and allowed students to explore their artistic expression in new ways. ✨

The work produced supports Component One of their Edexcel Pearson Art, Craft and Design/Textiles course, enriching their understanding of art and design through innovative techniques.🎨

Our Year 10 students had the exciting opportunity to work with artist and teacher Leanne Claxton👩🏼‍🎨, drawing inspiration from organic forms photographed during their trip to Kowloon Park.

Thank you Leanne for your wonderful sharing and also to our brilliant student, Linda Shin, who made this celebratory video🎞️
