All enrolled students must have an Octopus Card, which is used for registering daily attendance. This is essential for health and safety.
Year 7 students below the age of 12 may register any Octopus card. Students above the age of 12 may register any Octopus card, or they may apply for a Personalised Octopus Card. Students must use the same registered card each time.
- Octopus cards must be registered with the Receptionist on the Ground Floor.
- Students must swipe-in daily to register their arrival time on campus.
- Misplaced cards are handed in to Reception, when found.
- Students who have forgotten their Octopus Card must register with their tutor.
- Students leaving campus during the day and then returning, must swipe back in.
- Students leaving campus during the day MUST go to Reception to sign-out.
- Years 12 and 13 students may use their Exit Pass to sign-out.
There are eight Octopus card readers in various locations around the school campus.
Registered Octopus Cards can be used to:
- check-out books at the Library & Learning Centre
- check-out textbooks at the IT & Resources Centre
- register daily attendance
- purchase food
- purchase resources
- pay small fees at the IT & Resources Centre
- The card value can be topped-up at the Cafeteria.
Application for a Personalised Octopus Card
From the age of 12 students can apply at any MTR branch office for a Personalised Octopus Card to enjoy MTR Concessionary Fares. Personalised Octopus Cards must be activated at an MTR station prior to being used on campus.

Please note that the MTR concessionary fare for “Student Status” is encoded on a Personalised Octopus Card and is valid for MTR travel only. Students with Personalised Octopus Cards who travel on non-MTR transportation may be charged full adult fare.
