STC Solar Panels
As a long-term commitment to environmental protection and nature conservation, the HKSAR Government provides funding support to local eligible organisations through the Environmental and Conservation Fund (ECF) for implementing green projects and activities.
The school has applied for funding and now we have six solar panels, provided by EcoSMART, which are generating electricity for the school. The data produced by these solar panels can be accessed by the link so students can use this information in their educational studies.
The Environmental Council students worked on the procurement of the panels. They looked at different company presentations and then finally choose EcoSMART as our supplier. Thank you to the Environmental Conservation Committee for funding this initiative.
The EcoSmart solar panels on the roof of Block 2 are connected to an inverter and the power grid.
