Explorer Week is one of the highlights of Experiential Learning at Sha Tin College. It is an opportunity to stop our normal routines and value the learning experience that can be made outside of the classroom. During Explorer Week, lessons are suspended for five days and students have the opportunity to take part in a broad range of activities that are not normally available through the regular timetable.
Our range of options include a broad mix of local activities and multi-day trips outside of Hong Kong. Our overseas (including mainland China) programme has been carefully cultivated to ensure students have the opportunity to develop and progress with experiences as they move up through the school.
Our Explorer Week Programme is specifically designed to ensure:
- Alignment with our Elements of Experiential Learning
- Progression of opportunities for students with trips/activities that build on experiences
- Continuity of trips to ensure stronger learning opportunities and enjoyment for our students, with risk reduction and staff development.
